Pedestrian dies after motorcycle collision

A person has died after a collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian in Grovedale this morning.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the incident after it was reported to emergency services at about 10.05am.

The pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the Reserve Road scene, while the motorcyclist, a 20-year-old Tarneit man, was taken to hospital under police guard with non-life-threatening injuries.

Reserve Road is expected to be closed for several hours as investigators assess the scene.

The exact circumstances of the collision are still unknown and the investigation remains ongoing.
