A Geelong Business Excellence Awards winner has helped develop a new community organisation grant.
Adroit Insurance Group, which won Business of the Year in 2016, has joined Geelong Community Foundation to launch the $100,000 capital grant.
The grant will come from the proceeds of Adroit’s annual charity golf day at 13th Beach on 23 November.
The Geelong Community Foundation Adroit Golf Day Grant will be open to organisations based in or providing services in the Geelong region.
“The grant will provide physical infrastructure such as the acquisition, construction or renovation of a building, purchase of equipment, furniture and fitting, purchase of vehicles or computer hardware and software and its installation,” says Adroit’s Andrew Locke.
Applications can include support for more than one project up to the value of $100,000. Applications close 7 July.
The grant results from a “strong, proactive partnership” between Geelong Community Foundation and Adroit Insurance Group, says the foundation’s Gail Rodgers.
“The Adroit Insurance Group Golf Day Grant is another example of the strong leadership shown by Adroit in supporting our community.”
Adroit was thrilled with its big business awards win last year, Mr Locke says.
”It was really nice for the business and our Geelong team to receive some recognition for what they do,” he says.
“We act as client advocate, so not only will we seek the best insurance solution, we represent our clients when something goes wrong. We’re here to take the stress out of a stressful situation and get them back into the position they were in before the loss occurred.”
